Tattoo Circus Zurich is a self-organized event and lives from the initiative and inputs of everybody who joins. Nobody earns anything for themselves – neither tattoo artists and piercers nor bands and performers work for their own profit. Everybody puts their skills, energies and resources in for free to support the project. Out of solidarity and with the idea to give the entire proceeds to those, who fight resolutely against states, capitalism and authority.
If you like to join, you are warmly welcomed! Everybody can contribute to the Tattoo Circus. There are still a lot of shifts to fill – help is needed at the bar, at the pay desk, in the awareness crew, in the kitchen, with cleaning and for child care.
Kochareal…
…is a squatted area and the home of a lot of people. Please respect the privacy of the inhabitants. Watch your noise – some people would like to sleep, while you are partying. Just act carefully in general. This also means: No Photo. No Video. No Bullshit.Information about how to get there you can finde here.
No Dogs No Masters
At Kochareal live already a lot of dogs. Please leave your dog at home – like this we can avoid unnecessary stress.
Sleeping Places
If it’s possible, try to organize your own place to sleep as there are only a few sleeping places in Kochareal. Otherwise, it will be the best to check at the infopoint by the entrance when you arrive and search for a sleeping place. Anyway you should bring your camping mat and sleeping bag. Additionally there is a separate FLTIQ* sleeping place available. There are no parking spaces available!
Kitchen for all
Friday to Sunday there will be vegan breakfast at 10am and vegan dinner at 7pm – pay what you want. Please inform us about potential food allergies or intolerances as early as possible.
Anarkita
Kids are warmly welcomed at Tattoo Circus. We are working at the moment on a concept for child care. If you would like to help, just let us know!
SafeSpace
Tattoo Circus Zurich is based on antiauthoritarian and anarchist ideas. We reject authority just as structural mechanisms of oppression strictly. So we will not tolerate any form of discrimination or assault, because they always function as exercise of power. This means in practice: We will not tolerate racism, sexism, homo- or transphobia, ageism or ableism.
Or to put it without «-isms»: Nobody should be discriminated against because of skin color, look, origin, gender, sexual orientation, age or body.
If you feel uncomfortable, assaulted or if somebody exerts pressure towards you, you can get support from us at any time. You can get help at the bar, the info-point or at the awareness-base. If you witness assaults, don’t ignore them: Interfere, ask the affected person if there is need for help. Be aware, so everybody can feel safe at Tattoo Circus! And again: Damn respect other peoples boundaries. «No» means «no» – and only «yes» means «yes»!
Accessibility
Unfortunately Kochareal is not completely accessible for everyone. But there are entries, which make it possible for people with a wheelchair to at least partly – in some cases with support – participate at Tattoo Circus. There will be one or two well accessible toilets. If you have more specific questions or requests about this, please contact us without hesitation. Together we will find a solution!
What will happen with the money?
The money, we collect at Tattoo Circus Zurich, will support directly anarchist, anti-authoritarian and anti-prison struggles. We will hand it out to Kaos GL, who supports LGBTQI people in turkish prisons. To italian anarchists, which were arrested during the operation «Scripta Manent» 2016 and which are accused of attacks under the name «FAI» – Federazione Anarchica Informale.
In addition one part of the money will go to the solifund «Tameio», which supports anarchist prisoners as well as revolutionary and social struggles in Greece. At Tattoo Circus Zurich there will be specifically a presentation on Saturday concerning this topic.
Therefore we will support other struggles and projects with the money of Tattoo Circus Zurich. As for example «Indymedia linksunten», a self-organized website which is forbidden in Germany, since repression after the G20-protests in Hamburg shot it down.
There are many forms of struggles! Let’s show our solidarity!
